Farrukhabad, August 1, 2026 – A 19-year-old woman in Farrukhabad's Avantibai Nagar neighborhood has allegedly taken her own life by hanging, reportedly after being rebuked by her father. The incident has plunged the family into profound shock and grief.

According to family sources, the deceased's mother, Sarita, works in potato sorting at a cold store, while her father, Babloo, was out cutting fodder in the fields at the time of the incident.

Father's Alleged Harsh Words

The father, Babloo, had reportedly reprimanded his daughter because a fly had fallen into the milk. Family members allege that during this reprimand, he also used abusive language towards the young woman. It is believed that deeply hurt by her father's behavior, the daughter took this tragic step immediately.

Horrific Discovery by Sister

Some time later, when the deceased's younger sister, Sona, discovered her hanging from the fan, her screams alerted neighbors who quickly gathered at the scene. However, by then it was too late, and the young woman had passed away.

The deceased was one of five siblings, including two sisters and two brothers. The incident has sent shockwaves through the entire neighborhood, leaving family members in a state of disbelief and struggling to cope with the loss.

Following the report of the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police, Girish Kumar, arrived at the scene with a significant police contingent.
