Major Operation by Kente Police

In a significant operation, the Kente police station in Guna seized over five kilograms of 'ganja' (cannabis) from an Alto car on the Billonia Chak road. During this action, one smuggler was also arrested, leading to the apprehension of the nineteenth and final absconding accused in a city-based 'smack' (heroin) syndicate.

Fugitive Apprehended After Pursuit

During routine patrolling, police spotted an Alto car in suspicious condition. When signaled to stop, the driver attempted to flee. The police team promptly pursued and apprehended the vehicle. Upon interrogation, the driver was identified as Santosh Agarwal, a resident of village Majhola. A search of the car revealed 5.093 kilograms of 'ganja'.

Significant Seizure and Syndicate Crackdown

The police arrested the accused and seized a total of four lakh twenty-five thousand rupees worth of contraband, including the 'ganja' and the car. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway. The Kente police have also successfully busted a major syndicate involved in the purchase, sale, and consumption of 'smack'.

Nineteen Accused in Smuggling Ring Now in Custody

The crackdown on the 'smack' syndicate began in 2025 with the arrest of five individuals near the Patel Nagar railway underpass. Subsequent investigations revealed the involvement of nineteen people in this illegal trade. While police had previously arrested eighteen members of the syndicate and sent them to jail, one accused, identified as Shriprasad alias Siriya, had been absconding since then. Acting on a tip-off that the accused was hiding in Sisodia Colony, the police swiftly apprehended the final accused, Shrilal. This arrest ensures that all nineteen members of the 'smack' syndicate are now in custody. The police are currently conducting extensive investigations to uncover other potential networks and sources of 'ganja' smuggling.
