VHP-Bajrang Dal Condemn MPs' 'Saintly Attire' Protest, Demand Action
The Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have strongly condemned opposition MPs for protesting in 'saintly attire' in Parliament, demanding disciplinary action.

Opposition MPs' 'Saintly Attire' Protest Draws Ire from VHP, Bajrang Dal
The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have expressed strong outrage over opposition Members of Parliament who protested in Parliament House premises on July 31st by donning saintly attire.
The organizations have termed this act an insult to Sanatan Dharma, sadhus and saints, and the entire Hindu community. They have demanded strict disciplinary action against the concerned MPs from the Lok Sabha Speaker. The VHP has also stated that it is considering legal action in this matter.
'Vulgar Act' by Opposition MPs
Jitendra Chauhan, Joint Secretary of the VHP's Madhya Bharat region, described the protest as 'vulgar' and a highly low-level act by the opposition MPs. He accused opposition MPs, including Congress-backed independent MP Pappu Yadav, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and other MPs from the Samajwadi Party and Congress, of misusing religious symbols to attack Sanatani faith.
Chauhan stated that this anti-Hindu stance is not new, and they have been targeting Sanatani beliefs since attempts were made to obstruct the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. He attributed this act to 'frustration' after the grand Ram Mandir was built.
Accusations of Misusing Religious Symbols
Jitendra Chauhan alleged that just as Ravana donned a saint's disguise for deceit, these leaders attempted to misuse religious symbols. He challenged these leaders to dare and impersonate religious leaders or clerics of any other faith and mock their symbols.
Chauhan warned that such an act would lead to widespread public demonstrations and make it difficult for them to move around. He emphasized that the Hindu community is patient and tolerant, but they should not be forced to step outside their linguistic and constitutional boundaries.
Warning from the Saint Community
Revered saint Mahant Anil Anand Maharaj also adopted a stern stance regarding this protest. He stated that the saint community would absolutely not tolerate the insult of Lord Ram and the saint tradition in the name of protest within Parliament.
Mahant Anil Anand warned that if the concerned MPs do not apologize publicly, the saint community will intensify its movement. The VHP has strongly urged the Lok Sabha Speaker to take the strictest disciplinary action against the MPs who disrespected religious symbols in the Parliament premises in this manner.
VHP Considers Legal Action
The organization has also clarified that the Vishva Hindu Parishad itself is considering legal action against this immoderate act and the hurting of religious sentiments.
Several office-bearers and activists from the Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal were present during this protest and press statement. These included Joint Secretary Jitendra Chauhan, Bhopal Division Minister Jeevan Sharma, Divisional Joint Secretary Hariom Sharma, Divisional Convener Abhijit Rajput, Divisional Co-Convener Neeraj Prajapati, District Minister Mohit Soni, Nitin Sahu, Kamal Piperiya, Jitendra Meena, District Convener Rohit Shriwas, Surendra Thakur, Abhishek Sharma, Arjun Gurjar, Shivraj Dhakad, along with hundreds of activists from the Bhopal division.
