RAF Battalion Takes Anti-Drug Pledge in Bhopal, Commits to Raising Awareness

Special Program Held at 107 RAF Battalion

A special program focused on anti-drug pledges and public awareness was organized at the 107 Rapid Action Force (RAF) Battalion in Hinotiya, Bhopal. This event was part of the nationwide "10 Crore Anti-Drug Pledge Grand Campaign", spearheaded by the Medical Wing of Prajapati Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.

The initiative aims to leverage security force personnel to enhance societal awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse and contribute to building a healthy, drug-free nation. The program emphasized the serious consequences of addiction and urged security personnel to serve as role models.

Commandant Addresses Jawans on Drug Consequences

The chief guest of the program, Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Commandant of the 107 RAF, addressed the jawans, highlighting the severe repercussions of drug abuse. He explained that addiction not only debilitates individual health but also poses a significant obstacle to the progress of families, society, and the nation.

Commandant Srivastava called upon the jawans to completely distance themselves from intoxicating substances and to become a source of inspiration for society through their disciplined and exemplary conduct. He stressed that members of the security forces are not only guardians of the nation's external security but also crucial agents of social reform.

Anti-Drug Pledge Taken by Battalion Members

Second-in-Command Officer Manish Gorakh Mahale, along with other officers and a large number of jawans from the battalion, participated in this significant event. All attendees collectively took an anti-drug pledge.

They vowed to abstain from consuming any form of narcotic substances themselves and to educate their contacts, friends, youth, and other sections of society about the ill effects of drugs. The officials also firmly resolved to play an active role in building a drug-free society.

Nationwide Campaign Targets 10 Crore Pledges

The nationwide campaign, conducted by the Brahmakumari Medical Wing, will run from August 6 to August 20, 2026. Its primary objective is to secure anti-drug pledges from 10 crore people across the country.

The campaign places special emphasis on protecting youth from falling into the grip of addiction, promoting healthy lifestyles, and strengthening positivity and moral values within society. To achieve this, continuous public awareness programs are being organized in various institutions, educational campuses, government offices, security force units, and social organizations.

Commitment to a Drug-Free India Reiterated

At the conclusion of the program, all attending jawans and officers reiterated their commitment to spreading the message of "Drug-Free India, Healthy India" to the masses. Speakers underscored that if every citizen personally commits to staying away from drugs and inspiring others, the creation of a healthy, safe, cultured, and drug-free society is inevitable.
