International Training for Nepalese Professors Concludes in Bhopal

The National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR) in Bhopal successfully concluded a five-day international training program on November 5, 2026. The event, held from November 1 to 5, 2026, aimed to advance the second phase of Outcome-Based Curriculum Development (OBBD) for Electrical, Electronics, and Civil Engineering programs.

Organized in collaboration with the Nepal Engineering Council, the program saw the participation of 31 professors from eight leading universities in Nepal. The training focused on translating theoretical foundations into practical applications, with participants engaging in intensive sessions on crucial aspects such as mapping course outcomes, selecting effective learning methodologies, and structuring capstone projects.

Participants also successfully developed rubrics for project evaluation and created high-level question papers for outcome assessment. This initiative is seen as a significant step towards aligning regional technical education with international standards.

Strengthening Technical Education Through Collaboration

Prof. C.C. Tripathi, Director of NITTTR Bhopal, and Dr. Sanjay Agrawal, Academic Dean, hailed the training as a historic stride in strengthening regional technical education to meet global standards. They emphasized the program's significance as an excellent example of academic collaboration between India and Nepal.

Representatives from prominent Nepalese institutions including Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, Pokhara University, Purbanchal University, Manmohan Technical College, Far-Western University, Mid-Western University, and Lumbini University attended the program. The successful coordination and execution of this international training were managed by NITTTR Bhopal faculty members Prof. A.S. Walke, Prof. S.S. Kedar, Dr. R.K. Dixit, and Prof. Chanchal Mehra.
