Most Wanted Criminal 'Kalli Gurjar' Injured, Arrested with Accomplice in Police Encounter in Morena

Major Success in Morena: Absconding Criminal Apprehended

In a significant crackdown on organized crime and absconding criminals, the Madhya Pradesh Police have achieved a major success in the Morena district. They have arrested the notorious criminal, Kalli alias Kiledar Gurjar, who carried a bounty of Rs 80,000, along with his accomplice Ajay Gurjar following a police encounter.

Encounter and Arrest

During the exchange of fire, Kalli Gurjar sustained a bullet injury to his leg, while his accomplice was also injured. Both have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. This operation was conducted under the guidance of Director General of Police, Shri Kailash Makwana, specifically targeting habitual offenders and wanted criminals.

Under the directives of Sachin Kumar Atulkar, Inspector General of Police, Chambal Zone, and Sunil Kumar Jain, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Morena Range, Superintendent of Police Morena, Shri Dharmaraj Meena, formulated a special strategy for the arrest of the notorious criminal Kalli Gurjar.

Intensive Operation in Banmore Area

Acting on information received from an informant on November 5th, a police team cordoned off the forests near Lalitpura Pahadi village in the Banmore police station area. Sources indicated that Kalli Gurjar and his associate were hiding in the same region.

Upon being surrounded by the police team, the criminals opened fire on the police. In response, the police team retaliated in self-defense. After an intense operation lasting approximately three hours, Kalli Gurjar was injured with a bullet to his leg, and his accomplice Ajay Gurjar was also apprehended.

Weapons and Ammunition Seized

The police recovered a significant cache of illegal weapons and ammunition from the arrested accused. From Kalli Gurjar, an illegal country-made .32 bore pistol, a .306 bore rifle, and 49 live cartridges were seized. His accomplice, Ajay Gurjar, was found with a 12 bore rifle and 12 live cartridges. In total, three illegal firearms and 61 live cartridges were confiscated.

Criminal History of Kalli Gurjar

Preliminary investigations reveal that Kalli alias Kiledar Gurjar is a habitual and active criminal. He faces a total of 20 criminal cases, including murder, attempt to murder, robbery, firing, extortion, assault, obstructing a public servant in the discharge of their duty, and illegal liquor smuggling.

He had been absconding in nine of these cases for a long time, and a bounty of Rs 80,000 was declared on his arrest. The police are conducting a detailed investigation into the extent of the accused's criminal network and his involvement in other illicit activities.
