'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' Review Meeting Held

A high-level meeting was held in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, chaired by प्रभारी मंत्री (In-charge Minister) Rakesh Singh, to review preparations for the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'. The meeting focused on discussing upcoming programs and emphasizing public participation and large-scale welfare activities.

Attendees included former Assembly Speaker Dr. Sitasharan Sharma, MP Darshan Singh Chaudhary, MP Maya Narolia, and various MLAs. The administration stressed the importance of community involvement in public welfare initiatives.

Crackdown on Illegal Activities

The district administration has intensified its crackdown on illegal activities. Under the direction of Collector Somesh Mishra, a joint team from the Revenue, Police, and Mining departments conducted a special operation in the coastal areas of the Narmada River.

Two submersible pumps and three motors used for illegal sand mining were seized near the village of Kajli. The seized items have been handed over to the Shivpur and Siwani Malwa police stations. Collector Mishra stated that this action to keep the holy Narmada banks free from illegal mining will continue without bias.

Campaign Against Illegal Liquor Operations

Concurrently, the Excise Department launched a special campaign against the manufacturing, sale, and transportation of illicit liquor. Under the guidance of District Excise Officer Dr. Rajiv Prasad Dwivedi, an intensive checking drive was conducted across the district on Saturday.

During the operation, 11 cases were registered under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act. The department seized 50 liters of raw liquor, valued at approximately ₹50,500, and 405 kilograms of 'mahua lahan' (fermented mahua fruit). The Excise Department also registered 10 departmental cases related to irregularities found in the district's government liquor stores.

The administration emphasized that the campaign against illegal liquor will continue in the future. Local officials indicated that such joint operations will be prioritized in the coming days to maintain law and order in the district.
