Narmadapuram Municipality Tackles Encroachments

In a significant move to streamline traffic and clear roadside encroachments, the Narmadapuram municipality conducted a large-scale operation on Saturday. The drive focused on removing illegal structures near NMV College.

Utilizing a JCB machine, the operation demolished approximately 8 carts and several other temporary and permanent encroachments. The campaign was a joint effort by the municipality's encroachment removal and sanitation teams.

Key Figures Present and Actions Taken

The operation was overseen by Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Vaibhav Deshmukh and MLA representative Mahendra Yadav. During the clearing process, a substantial quantity of fruits was seized from vendors operating along the roadside.

Seized Fruits Distributed to Patients

Following medical advice, the seized fruits were distributed among patients admitted to the District Hospital. Sanitation Inspector Anurag Tiwari clarified that this action was not only part of the anti-encroachment drive but also a positive initiative for public welfare.

Continuous Campaign for Cleanliness and Order

Anurag Tiwari, who is also in charge of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, stated that continuous action is being taken against those obstructing pathways and spreading litter in the city, under the direction of Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and CMO Vaibhav Deshmukh.

Fruit and vegetable vendors were also advised against conducting business on the road, which causes inconvenience to the public. Mr. Tiwari emphasized that the encroachment and sanitation campaigns will continue to maintain cleanliness and smooth traffic flow in the city.

Several municipality employees, including Anurag Tiwari, Sheikh Akbar, Kailash Kanojia, Sheikh Sikandar, Satish Raghuwanshi, and Nitesh Gaur, were present during the operation.
