Women and Daughters Conference Held Under Mission Shakti Phase-6
The team from Srinagar Police Station in Mahoba district organized an important 'Women and Daughters' conference in Manohar Ganj locality as part of the Mission Shakti Phase-6 campaign. The primary objective of this event was to educate women, young women, and girls about the significance of women's safety, respect, and self-reliance.
Legal Rights and Government Schemes Detailed
During the conference, attendees, including women and students, were provided with comprehensive information regarding their legal rights. Experts encouraged women to speak out against social evils such as domestic violence, dowry harassment, and child marriage.
Given the current rise in cybercrimes, the event also shed light on technical measures and essential precautions to prevent such offenses. Additionally, information on various government welfare schemes was shared to ensure women can benefit from them.
Importance of Helpline Numbers for Emergency Assistance
For safety purposes, the police team shared details of crucial helpline numbers for emergency assistance. These include 112 (Emergency Assistance), 1090 (Women Helpline), 181 (Women Helpline), 1098 (Child Helpline), and 1930 (Cyber Helpline).
Through the program, women were assured that they can directly contact the police without hesitation in case of any trouble or harassment.
Positive Message and Social Participation
Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers also played an active role in this initiative. This effort by the police administration is considered a significant step towards boosting the confidence of local women and making them aware of their rights.
At the end of the conference, citizens were appealed to cooperate in eradicating societal evils and building a secure environment. The initiative by Srinagar Police has left a positive message in the region.
