Mega Legal Aid and Service Camp Held in Balrampur

Balrampur, November 1, 2026 – A large-scale mega legal aid and service camp was organized on Sunday at the District Panchayat Bhavan in Balrampur. The primary objective was to raise awareness among citizens about their legal rights and to offer free legal assistance.

This event, jointly organized by the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow, saw significant participation from the district administration and the District Legal Services Authority. A key goal was also to directly deliver the benefits of various central and state government welfare schemes to eligible individuals.

The program was inaugurated by Additional District Judge and Special Judge (SC/ST Act) Avadhesh Kumar, who lit a ceremonial lamp and garlanded a portrait of Goddess Saraswati. A large number of judicial officers, administrative officials, and employees from various departments of the district were present for the occasion.

Tricycles Distributed to Persons with Disabilities, Scheme Certificates Awarded

During the camp, judicial officers facilitated beneficiaries of various government schemes. Additional District Judge Avadhesh Kumar personally handed over tricycles to persons with disabilities, offering them assistance.

In a similar vein, Additional District Judge Sumit Premi, Special Judge (POCSO) Rahul Singh, and Chief Judicial Magistrate Anup Kumar Pandey distributed certificates and aid checks to beneficiaries. Civil Judges Shailesh Kumar Maurya, Rahul Anand II, Monica Mishra, and Asgar Ali provided scheme benefits to eligible individuals under the Nand Baba Milk Mission, Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Child Service Scheme, and Marriage Grant Scheme, respectively.

Furthermore, judicial officers Neeru Anand, Renu Gautam, Meghali Singh, and Aastha Singh empowered citizens by providing assistance under schemes such as the Swachh Bharat Mission and free seed distribution.

Departments Provide Scheme Information Through Stalls

Various departments associated with the district administration set up their stalls at the camp. Through these stalls, they provided detailed information to attendees about the eligibility, application procedures, and required documents for the schemes being implemented.

This arrangement served as a convenient channel for citizens to access all necessary information in one place.

Free Medical Camp Conducted by Health Department

A special medical camp was also organized by the Health Department during the event. Attendees at this medical camp received free health check-ups, and necessary free medicines were also distributed as needed.

This initiative provided immediate health benefits to many individuals and offered them access to primary treatment facilities.

A Unique Initiative for Legal Awareness and Integration of Government Services

The smooth operation of the entire event was managed by the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Yashpal Verma, and mediator Mohit Srivastava. A large number of elderly citizens, women, girls, and farmers participated in the camp and benefited from these public-welfare initiatives.

This camp proved to be an extremely significant and successful endeavor towards legal awareness and the integration of government services. It offered the general public an opportunity to receive legal aid and departmental benefits on a single platform.

At the end of the program, all officials present reiterated their commitment to continuing such efforts in the direction of social justice.
