MD Drug Synthetic Factory Busted in Mandsaur, Valuables Worth Rs 25 Lakh Seized

Major Breakthrough in Mandsaur Drug Crackdown

The Madhya Pradesh Police have achieved a significant success in their ongoing campaign against illegal narcotics and synthetic drugs in the state. In a major operation in the Mandsaur district, police have busted an illegal factory involved in the production of MD (Mephedrone) drugs.

Seized Material and Operation Details

During the operation, police confiscated materials worth approximately Rs 25 lakh. This included MD drugs, a substantial quantity of chemicals, equipment used for drug manufacturing, and a Scorpio car without a number plate. The successful action was carried out under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Mandsaur, Shri Vinod Kumar Meena, with guidance from Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), Shri Ram Snehi Mishra, and Sub-Divisional Officer Police, Shri Dinesh Prajapati.

Informant Tip Leads to Raid and Exchange of Fire

Acting on a reliable tip-off received late on the night of July 31st and August 1st, police were alerted to suspicious activity at Dilip Gayari's farm near the water tank on the Manpura-Badawadi road in village Manpura. A special team from the Sitamaoo Police Station immediately conducted a raid on the location.

Upon the police team's arrival, individuals inside the factory opened indiscriminate fire towards them. In an act of self-defense and to apprehend the culprits, police retaliated. However, the accused managed to escape from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.

Discovery of Illegal Factory and Seizure of Contraband

A search of the premises revealed an active illegal synthetic drug manufacturing unit. Police recovered 110 grams of MD drugs from the spot. In addition to the drugs, the seized items include:

• A Mahindra Scorpio-N car without a number plate.
• Four containers filled with MDC chemical, approximately 208 kilograms.
• Another 117.8 kilograms of chemical in various containers.
• Approximately 1.8 kilograms of crystalline substance.
• An electronic weighing scale.
• A gas stove.
• An electric heat gun (dryer).
• A special motorized drum.
• Plastic containers, steel utensils, and various other equipment used in drug manufacturing.

The total estimated value of the seized property is over Rs 25 lakh.

Legal Action Initiated

Police have registered a case against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the Arms Act. Further investigation has commenced at the Sitamaoo Police Station. Police are actively searching for the absconding accused and are conducting an intensive investigation to identify other members of the syndicate.
