Madhya Pradesh Police Recovers Crores Worth of Vehicles from 54 Thieves in 15 Days

Major Success Against Vehicle Thieves

In a concerted effort to curb vehicle thefts and maintain law and order across the state, the Madhya Pradesh Police have achieved a major breakthrough. Over the past fifteen days, police forces across various districts have successfully recovered a total of 54 stolen vehicles during special operations.

The recovered vehicles include motorcycles, cars, pickups, tractors, and trucks, collectively valued at an estimated several crores of rupees. A press release from the Police Headquarters described the operation as an effective campaign against vehicle thieves.

This action is a result of swift and coordinated efforts by police in different districts of the state. The operations have not only led to the recovery of stolen vehicles but also exposed several notorious vehicle theft gangs, with arrests and interrogations underway.

This special drive by the police aims to curb the rising incidents of vehicle theft in the state and instill a sense of security among citizens. The campaign will continue with intensive action to prevent vehicle theft, recover stolen vehicles, and apprehend auto thieves.

Vehicle Recovery Details Across Districts

Narsinghpur District

In Narsinghpur district, the Stationganj police apprehended two notorious motorcycle thieves. During interrogation, they confessed to seven motorcycle theft incidents. The police recovered 11 stolen motorcycles, valued at approximately seven lakh rupees, from the accused.

Khargone District

The Khargone district police arrested three members of a motorcycle theft gang and recovered eight motorcycles worth approximately five lakh rupees. Investigations revealed that the accused were involved in theft incidents in Khargone and Dhar districts.

In another operation within the same district, police arrested two more individuals and seized three motorcycles valued at about one and a half lakh rupees. In total, 11 motorcycles were recovered from Khargone district.

Gwalior District

The Gwalior district police also conducted a special operation against vehicle thieves. The Panihar police arrested a notorious vehicle thief and recovered a stolen Maruti Swift Dzire car.

Additionally, the Kampu police arrested another vehicle thief and recovered a Hero Splendor motorcycle. The Bhitarwar police apprehended a cunning vehicle thief and also took into custody three minors who were involved in purchasing stolen motorcycles. Based on their information, six motorcycles were recovered. In total, eight vehicles were recovered from Gwalior district.

Sehore District

In Sehore district, the Ashta police acted swiftly on information received via social media and recovered a stolen auto worth an estimated three lakh fifty thousand rupees. The recovery was made within an hour of the accused's arrest, showcasing police efficiency.

The Berunda police station in the same district recovered a Hero Xtreme motorcycle, valued at one lakh fifty-seven thousand rupees, from the bus stand in Nasrullaganj and arrested the accused. The Rehti police revealed three motorcycle theft incidents, arresting two accused and recovering three motorcycles worth approximately one lakh five thousand rupees. In total, five vehicles were recovered from Sehore district.

Shivpuri District

In Shivpuri district, the Amola police arrested an accused in a vehicle theft case and recovered three stolen motorcycles. The Physical police also arrested an accused in a theft case and recovered one motorcycle. A total of four motorcycles were recovered from Shivpuri district.

Effective Action in Other Districts

Besides these major districts, other districts in the state have also continued their effective action against vehicle thieves. Ujjain police recovered three vehicles, Harda police one Maruti WagonR car, Guna police a stolen tractor, Burhanpur police one pickup, Satna police two motorcycles, Vidisha police two vehicles, Katni police one pickup, Morena police one Creta car, Jhabua police one motorcycle, Bhind police one truck, and Chhatarpur police one motorcycle.

The Madhya Pradesh Police will continue its intensive campaign to prevent vehicle theft, recover stolen vehicles, and apprehend vehicle thieves. The police are solving theft cases and arresting accused through prompt action, use of technical evidence, effective utilization of CCTV footage, and strengthening of informant networks.
