Journalists Vow Collective Commitment to Societal Welfare

In a significant bloc-level meeting held at Chauhan Marriage Garden, organized by the Madhya Pradesh Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh's Lahar unit, journalists underscored the importance of unity and collectively pledged to practice impartial journalism for the welfare of society. The discussion centered on strengthening the organization, fostering mutual cooperation among journalists, and effectively fulfilling their role as the fourth pillar of the information system.

Leadership and Vision for Journalism

The meeting was presided over by District President Vishwanath Shriwas, with State Vice President Rajkumar Dubey attending as the chief guest. In his address, Mr. Dubey emphasized that the fundamental purpose of journalism extends beyond merely disseminating news; it involves becoming the voice of the oppressed and needy to help them secure justice.

"Journalism's fundamental purpose is not just to broadcast news, but to become the voice of the oppressed and needy, assisting them in securing justice," stated State Vice President Rajkumar Dubey.

Citing the example of Maharshi Narad, he urged journalists to prioritize societal welfare. Mr. Dubey also assured that the organization would remain available 24 hours a day to support its members during any crisis.

Upholding Journalists' Rights and Responsibilities

Prahlad Singh Bhadauria, State Convenor of the Disciplinary Committee, stressed the protection of journalists' rights and interests. He stated that as the fourth pillar of democracy, journalists must perform their duties with integrity and honesty.

"When other institutions ignore the problems of the public, it is journalists who come forward to highlight these issues and bring them to the administration's attention," Bhadauria remarked.

District President Vishwanath Shriwas reiterated that the organization would stand firmly with any journalist in the district facing any untoward incident.

Recognition and Celebrations

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Lahar bloc executive honored state and divisional officials by presenting them with shawls and coconuts. The birthday of Prahlad Singh Bhadauria, the State Convenor of the Disciplinary Committee, was also celebrated with enthusiasm during the event.

Several journalists from the Lahar block participated in the meeting and decided to continue working together in a unified manner in the future.
