The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially commenced the online application process for its Clerk Recruitment 2026, a significant drive aiming to fill 11,403 Customer Service Associate (Clerk) positions across numerous public sector banks. The application window opened on August 1, 2026, and interested candidates have until August 21, 2026, to submit their applications via the official IBPS website, ibps.in.

This large-scale recruitment aims to bolster the workforce in 11 participating public sector banks. The selection process is structured to be rigorous, comprising a Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination, and a crucial Local Language Proficiency Test. This multi-stage approach ensures a thorough evaluation of candidates' aptitude and suitability for banking roles.

The recruitment calendar has been clearly defined to guide applicants. The online application period started on August 1, 2026, and will conclude on August 21, 2026. Aspirants are strongly advised to complete their applications well before the final deadline to avoid any last-minute technical issues.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Fees

To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the government. The age requirement is set between 20 and 28 years, with provisions for age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories, in accordance with government regulations.

The application fee varies based on the candidate's category. General, OBC, and EWS category candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 850. For SC, ST, and PwBD candidates, the fee is set at Rs 175. This fee must be paid online and is explicitly stated as non-refundable.
