Students Showcase Scientific Talent at Damoh College
Damoh College recently hosted a special event where female students demonstrated exceptional talent in science, technology, and innovation. They presented various models offering technical solutions to everyday problems and created posters conveying awareness messages, which became the highlight of the program.
During the event, the students not only showcased their creativity but also their problem-solving abilities. Among the technical models, the 'Automatic Plant Watering System' presented by Ekta Sharma and Anupriya Pyasi was particularly lauded for its aim to promote water conservation by automating plant irrigation.
Innovative Solutions and Awareness Campaigns
Pratiksha Thakur demonstrated the concept of creating useful items from discarded materials through her 'Scrap to Jugaad' (Scrap to Innovation) project. Radhika Koshti offered a practical solution to water wastage by preventing tank overflows with her 'Water Alarm System'.
In terms of safety, Suhani Khare's 'Laser Security Alarm System' also garnered significant attention, representing an important step towards enhancing security measures. These innovative models highlighted the students' deep scientific understanding and their sensitivity to practical daily life challenges.
Projects like the Automatic Plant Watering System can aid in water management, while initiatives such as the Laser Security Alarm can contribute to raising security standards. 'Scrap to Jugaad' projects emphasized sustainability and resource reuse, a crucial need in today's times.
Posters Promote Key Social and Environmental Issues
In addition to the technical models, students displayed engaging posters on vital topics like hygiene, environmental protection, and sustainable development. These posters aimed to raise awareness on issues such as waste management at the college level, establishing a student book bank, proper utilization of waste materials, and eco-friendly napkin incinerators.
The objective of these efforts was to awaken a sense of responsibility towards resource utilization and the environment among students. The college administration, including Dr. D.K. Nema, Dr. Aruna M. Jain, Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Jain, and Dr. Raju Prasad Ahirwar, along with Nodal Officer Dr. Brijendra Singh Kusmaria, were present.
Faculty Applaud and Encourage Student Innovation
Senior faculty members openly praised the students' endeavors, commending their scientific approach, innovative thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. They remarked that such ideas and innovations are vital for societal progress.
The professors encouraged the students to continue pursuing similar paths in the future and expressed gratitude to the entire college staff and the large number of attending students for their encouragement and enthusiasm.
