Volunteers Participate in Selection Camp
A total of 75 volunteers from eight districts of Jiwaji University participated in a camp held at Amity University, Gwalior. They underwent various stages of selection for the Republic Day Parade. The university-level camp was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) cell.
Selection Process Assessed Skills
The selection process meticulously tested the volunteers' physical fitness, cultural performance skills, and general knowledge related to the National Service Scheme. This camp served as a crucial stepping stone for selecting volunteers who would eventually represent the state in future parades.
Regional Camp Selection
The selection of the best volunteers for the regional camp was overseen by Dr. Ashok Kumar Shroti, Deputy Programme Advisor from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. He addressed the volunteers, emphasizing the significant and unforgettable experience of participating in the Republic Day Parade.
“The experience of participating in the Republic Day Parade is extremely important and unforgettable for every volunteer,” Dr. Shroti stated. He also described the selection process as an opportunity to strengthen the learning process rather than just focusing on the final outcome.
Amity University's Pro-Chancellor, Lieutenant General (Retd.) V.K. Sharma, also extended his best wishes to the young volunteers for their upcoming journey. The judging panel, comprising Dr. Manoj Awasthi, Rachna Jain, and Captain Dr. Sameer Bhargav, evaluated the volunteers' performances.

Five outstanding volunteers, selected for their excellent performance at the university level, will now participate in a joint regional camp for six states to be held in Agra.
