Panic Erupts at Collector's Residence

Confusion and fear gripped the staff at the Collector's bungalow in Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday morning. The unsettling discovery was made when employees spotted a large snake roaming the premises, causing immediate panic among those present.

Snake Rescuer Dispatched

To manage the situation and ensure the snake's safe removal, the district's renowned snake rescuer, Jaggu Singh Parihar, was promptly informed. Upon receiving the alert, Parihar rushed to the Collector's bungalow to assess the scene.

Non-Venomous Rat Snake Identified

An inspection revealed the snake to be of the Dhaman species, also known as a rat snake in English. Jaggu Singh Parihar reassured everyone that this species is entirely non-venomous. With this confirmation, he skillfully and carefully rescued the snake, securing it safely in a sack.

Safe Release into the Wild

After the successful capture, Parihar transported the snake away from the populated area and released it into a dense forest. The bungalow staff breathed a collective sigh of relief following the operation's successful conclusion.

Importance of Rat Snakes Highlighted

During this incident, Jaggu Parihar shared valuable information, noting that Dhaman snakes prey on mice that cause significant damage to crops. He highlighted their role as true friends to farmers. He advised the public against panicking upon spotting a snake, instead urging them to immediately contact experts or the Forest Department to prevent any untoward incidents and aid in wildlife conservation.
