Family Murdered Due to Fear of Tantric: Shocking Revelations in Balrampur
A family of four was brutally murdered in Balrampur, with new claims suggesting a local tantric's influence and death threats played a role.

Shocking Revelations in Balrampur Family Murder Case
Shocking revelations have emerged in the brutal murder of four members of a family in Gosaiypurwa village, Jhauhna Gram Panchayat, under the Dehat Kotwali area of Balrampur. The police investigation, which initially focused on family disputes and financial transactions, has shifted direction following claims made by the victims' relatives.
Relatives allege that the deceased, Bajarangi Giri (28), had been under the influence of a local tantric for several months. The tantric reportedly instilled in him a fear of death by August 4th, causing him to live in constant terror. While the police have yet to confirm these claims, the mysterious case has become a major topic of discussion in the district.
Chilling Discovery of the Family's Demise
The heart-wrenching incident came to light on Friday evening around 6:30 PM when the bodies of Bajarangi Giri, his wife Komal (25), their three-year-old daughter Shraddha, and 10-month-old son Jaydeep were found in their Gosaiypurwa village home.
Preliminary police investigations suggest that Bajarangi first shot his wife and two children before taking his own life. A pistol was recovered from the scene.
Deepening Suspicion of Tantric's Influence
Shravan Kumar, the father-in-law of the deceased Bajarangi's younger brother Ramgiri and a resident of Karnalganj, stated that Bajarangi had been in contact with a local tantric for many months.
The tantric had previously alluded to certain past events in the family, such as a member's suicide in 2023 and the father's death about a year ago. When the tantric mentioned these events, Bajarangi believed he possessed special knowledge and became completely reliant on him.
Claim of Demolishing Part of the House on Tantric's Instruction
According to the family, Bajarangi demolished a portion of his house on the tantric's orders. The tantric claimed that the section of the house was built in an inauspicious location and that grave misfortune would occur if it was not removed.
Approximately six months ago, Bajarangi had the portion demolished using a bulldozer. Following this, the tantric also predicted that Bajarangi's four-wheeler would catch fire. Coincidentally, the vehicle was destroyed in a fire incident two months later. These incidents further solidified Bajarangi's trust in the tantric.
Fear of Death by August 4th
Relatives claim that a few days prior, the tantric told Bajarangi that his death was certain by August 4th. His behavior began to change after this prophecy. He repeatedly told several family members to take care of his family if something happened to him.
He also spoke to his acquaintances about returning outstanding payments and settling accounts. On the day before the incident, his behavior was normal. Just one day before this horrific event, on July 29th, Bajarangi attended a reception for his younger brother's newborn daughter in Karnalganj with his entire family. He danced to the DJ and joked with relatives, appearing completely normal. Even on the day of the incident, he engaged in light-hearted conversations with people until noon. Close acquaintances mentioned that he had often expressed fears about his potential death, but no one anticipated that the entire family would be wiped out within hours.
Financial Transactions Also Under Investigation
The elder brother, Mewaram Giri, stated that on the day of the incident, Bajarangi had gone to Kodri Chowk to collect an outstanding payment from someone. After returning from there, he arrived home, and the incident occurred in the evening. During the investigation, police also found a video in which Bajarangi is allegedly seen discussing transactions and outstanding money.
The police have not made this video public and have kept it for their investigation. Based on this, the police are also investigating financial disputes. According to the family, Bajarangi was the middle of four brothers and lived in the village with his wife and two young children. His elder brothers run businesses in Mumbai and arrived in Balrampur upon hearing of the incident. The family claims there were no significant financial problems, but Bajarangi had appeared mentally changed over the past few months.
Police's Preliminary Statement
Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar stated that prima facie, it appears that Bajarangi first murdered his wife and two children and then committed suicide. The legality and use of the pistol recovered from the scene are being investigated.
The police are thoroughly investigating all aspects, including financial transactions and family circumstances. The claims regarding the tantric's influence are also being examined.
