AP Releases NEET UG 2026 State Rank List for Admissions

The Cliff News | 2 August 2026

The Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr NTRUHS) has initiated the Andhra Pradesh NEET UG 2026 counselling process by releasing the state rank list for candidates aspiring for MBBS and BDS admissions in the 2026-27 academic session. This significant step includes 33,220 candidates who have met the National Testing Agency's (NTA) qualifying marks.

The published list, available on the university's official portal drntr.uhsap.in, serves as an informational compilation rather than the final merit list. It details candidates' NEET roll numbers, All India Ranks, and NEET scores for those who achieved the prescribed qualifying percentile set by the NTA.

Information List, Not Final Merit

Dr NTRUHS has emphasized that the current list is purely for informational purposes. The final state merit list, which will determine candidates' final ranking for admission, will be released only after the university invites online applications and successfully verifies all submitted documents. This ensures a transparent and accurate selection process.

Candidates featured in this preliminary list have successfully cleared the eligibility cut-offs for NEET UG 2026 as mandated by the NTA. These cut-offs vary across different categories, reflecting the diverse applicant pool and reservation policies.

NEET UG 2026 Qualifying Cut-offs Released

The qualifying cut-offs announced by the NTA for NEET UG 2026 are as follows:

  • UR/EWS: 50th Percentile, translating to a NEET UG 2026 Cut-off Score between 715 – 213.
  • OBC: 40th Percentile, with a score range of 212 – 177.
  • SC: 40th Percentile, also in the score range of 212 – 177.
  • ST: 40th Percentile, with a score range of 212 – 177.
  • UR/EWS-PwBD: 45th Percentile, with a score range of 212 – 194.
  • OBC-PwBD: 40th Percentile, with a score range of 193 – 177.
  • SC-PwBD: 40th Percentile, with a score range of 193 – 177.
  • ST-PwBD: 40th Percentile, with a score range of 191 – 177.

Next Steps in the Counselling Process

The release of the state rank list marks the crucial first phase of the Andhra Pradesh NEET UG counselling for the 2026-27 academic year. Dr NTRUHS has indicated that a subsequent notification will be issued, inviting eligible candidates to submit their online applications for admission.

Prospective students are strongly advised to regularly monitor the university’s official website for timely updates concerning the counselling schedule and the detailed application procedure. This proactive approach will ensure no important deadlines are missed.

Final Merit List and Seat Allotment

Following the closure of the online application window, the university will undertake a thorough verification of all submitted documents. This verification process is vital before the preparation and publication of the final state merit list. The final seat allotment for both MBBS and BDS programs will then be conducted through the counselling process, taking into account factors such as a candidate's NEET UG 2026 score, their position on the state merit rank, applicable reservation criteria, the availability of seats, and individual college preferences.

Andhra Pradesh is anticipated to offer approximately 7,465 MBBS seats across various medical colleges in the state, in addition to the available BDS seats in participating dental institutions. This comprehensive process aims to fill these coveted seats for the upcoming academic session.
