Yoga and Meditation Camp Held at Government Polytechnic College, Narmadapuram
A special yoga and meditation camp was organized at the Government Polytechnic College, Narmadapuram, as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026'. The primary aim of this initiative was to cultivate a healthy lifestyle, mental concentration, and a sense of discipline among the youth.
This program aimed to make students aware of the importance of not only physical health but also mental fortitude. The camp saw the participation of Professor Dr. Kamal Wadhwa and Dr. Yogesh Khandelwal from PM Shri Government Narmadapuram College as chief guides. They provided detailed information and guidance on various aspects of meditation to the participants.
Instructors from Nature Yoga, including Narendra Gaur, and representatives from the Heartfulness Education Trust conducted intensive training in Surya Namaskar, Pranayama, and yoga practices. The instructors emphasized that regular yoga practice is extremely beneficial in effectively managing stress and promoting positive thinking.
Promoting National Development Through a Healthy Mind and Body
The Principal of the college, Dr. P.C. Narvare, urged students to make yoga an integral part of their daily routine. Highlighting the importance of healthy students and a healthy society, he stated that a strong body and a cheerful mind are the foundation for national development.
His words inspired the youth to actively contribute to nation-building. The significant event was attended by a large number of students and staff members, including department heads R.R. Chandrakar, Devesh Tiwari, Ankur Saxena, Sourabh Kathwas, Siddharth Jaurkar, and Ajay Kumar Chandale. The successful coordination of the camp was managed by Devi Prasad Mehar.
At the conclusion of the program, all participants resolved not only to adopt regular yoga practice into their lifestyle but also to ensure continuous participation in service activities. This event is being viewed as a significant step towards the holistic development of students.
