Grand Celebration Marks Prime Minister's Birthday

A grand event was held in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, to celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2026. The banks of the Shipra River and the Mahakal Maholok complex were illuminated with a spectacular display of 3.3 million lamps.

'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' Initiated

Simultaneously, the state-level 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' (Service Pledge Campaign) was formally launched. The primary objective of this campaign is to celebrate the Prime Minister's birthday with a spirit of service.

Chief Minister Lights the Inaugural Lamp

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, in the presence of National President Nitin Naveen, State President Hemant Khandelwal, and State In-charge Mahendra Singhi, initiated the campaign by lighting an 'Ashirwad Diya' (Blessing Lamp) at Ujjain's Ramghat.

Synchronized Illumination Across the City

Upon the Chief Minister lighting the lamp, a siren was sounded, signaling thousands of volunteers. In response, 2.5 million lamps were lit along both banks of the Shipra River, and 0.8 million lamps illuminated the Mahakal Maholok complex, all at once.

Record-Breaking Diyas and Volunteer Effort

This massive lamp-lighting ceremony was completed in an astonishingly short period of just 3 minutes, showcasing unprecedented coordination among the volunteers. A total of 25,000 volunteers actively participated in making this event a resounding success.
