Policemen Suspended Over Vehicle Misuse Allegations

Bareilly | September 20, 2026 | In the Shahi police station area of Bareilly, two policemen have been suspended with immediate effect following serious allegations of misuse of a Dial-112 government vehicle and collusion with petrol pump operators. The police department initiated a swift departmental inquiry due to the improper use of government resources.

The matter came to light on September 19, 2026, after a complaint was received. Head Constable Brijesh Kumar and Constable Monty Kumar, who are under investigation, are accused of acting contrary to their prescribed duties. A departmental inquiry has been initiated against both individuals alongside their suspension. The complaint alleged that the Dial-112 government vehicle was being used for personal gain, including the misuse of government diesel in collusion with petrol pump operators.
