Two-Day Training on Road Safety Management Concludes in Bhopal

The Police Transport Research Institute (PTRI) in Bhopal recently concluded a two-day training program centered on road safety management. The primary objective was to prevent road accidents and familiarize officers with the latest advancements in traffic and transportation technologies.

Emphasis was also placed on informing participants about government schemes designed to provide financial assistance and cashless treatment to victims of vehicle accidents. The training was conducted under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police Mr. Mohammad Shahid Absar and saw participation from police officials and personnel ranging from Additional Superintendent of Police to Constable rank.

Experts Share Knowledge on Traffic Management and Safety

During the training sessions, experts shared valuable insights on critical topics including the extensive promotion of government schemes, traffic enforcement, road safety management, traffic management, and post-crash management. This initiative aims to reduce the number of vehicle accidents and fatalities occurring in Madhya Pradesh.

Prioritizing Road Users for a Safer Network

A key objective of road safety management is to provide a safe road network for all road users. Special attention was given to prioritizing pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicle drivers within this framework. Deputy Inspector General of Police PTRI Mr. T.K. Vidyarthi highlighted the importance of developing action plans for the analysis and prevention of vehicle accidents. He also provided information on significant schemes like the PM Relief Scheme and the Rahgir Scheme.

Support for Accident Victims and Digital Reporting

Assistant Inspector General of Police Mr. Abhinith Kumar Ranjan elaborated on the victim compensation scheme for 'hit and run' cases. He also shared crucial information regarding the process of entering data into CCNS (Continuous Criminal Traffic Network System) and E-DAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report), as well as topics like FAR (Financial Assessment Report), IAR (Injury Assessment Report), and DAR (Detailed Accident Report).

Guidance from Various Specialists

Throughout the training, various experts provided invaluable guidance in their respective fields. Lecturer Mr. S.S. Lalli discussed traffic enforcement, Dr. Mayank Dubey covered traffic engineering, ACP Mr. Devendra Yadav focused on traffic management, and Mr. Ashish Sharma, head of 108 Ambulance, detailed post-crash management. Other officials present included Mr. Rajesh Mishra, Mr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, and Mr. Himanshu Kartikeya from PTRI, along with other members of the training team. Participants were awarded certificates upon successful completion of the training.
