Students Protest Exam Irregularities at Guna PG College

Guna | October 29, 2026

Under the leadership of the student organization 'DSO' (Democratic Students Organization), students at the Government Postgraduate College in Guna staged a strong protest against alleged rigging and widespread irregularities in the examination results. The protesting students submitted a memorandum addressed to the College Principal, demanding that the university's Vice-Chancellor immediately improve the results and re-declare the revised list.

Allegations of Deliberate Failures in BA and BSc First Year Results

DSO activists allege that a large number of students have been intentionally failed by being given supplementary marks or zero marks in the recently announced BA and BSc first-year examination results. According to the students, the number of students failing is very high, not only in core subjects but also in foundation courses and vocational subjects.

Question Paper Anomalies and Broken Promises

Students also pointed to discrepancies found in question papers during the examination, where a question in the 'Bharat Bodh' paper was repeated four times, and other question papers lacked Hindi translations. Assurances given by the university administration at the time that students would not be disadvantaged have now proven false.

Future of Students in Jeopardy Due to Administrative Negligence

The student organization has raised serious questions about the functioning of the education system. They state that despite the grand claims of the new education policy, the ground reality is different. Neither textbooks are available in colleges, nor are classes being conducted regularly. The future of students is becoming uncertain due to a severe shortage of teachers and a lack of basic facilities. The irregularities in these examination results are clear evidence that the university administration is not serious about the future of students. This situation is having a profound impact on students' academic and professional futures, as they are unable to progress to the next year and are living in an atmosphere of uncertainty.

DSO Warns of Escalated Protest

The DSO has warned the administration that if these serious discrepancies are not rectified promptly, an intense agitation will be launched for the rights of the affected students. The organization has demanded that all answer scripts be re-evaluated and strict action be taken against those responsible. A large number of male and female students participated in this protest, raising slogans in support of their demands.
