Seva Sankalp Campaign Launches in Kareli, Emphasizing Plantation and Cleanliness

'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026' Kicks Off with Cleanliness Drive and Tree Plantation

The Kareli Municipality Council launched the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' fortnight on Thursday as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026'. The inaugural day was dedicated to a special cleaning campaign at the Gurudwara and Railway premises in Laxminarayan Ward.

During the event, local representatives, municipal officials, employees, and residents joined hands for voluntary labor, pledging to maintain the cleanliness of their surroundings. Following the cleaning drive, an intensive tree plantation program was organized at the Post Office and Rest House premises to promote environmental conservation.

A variety of plant species, including Mongra, Madhudamini, Champa, Chameli, and Gulmohar, were planted. All attendees collectively reaffirmed their commitment to nurture these saplings and make Kareli a greener city.

Campaign Scope and Objectives

The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' is scheduled to run for a full month, from September 17 to October 17, 2026, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. The campaign will feature numerous significant activities focused on cleanliness and public awareness.

The municipal administration has urged all citizens to actively participate in this initiative, aiming to develop Kareli into a clean and beautiful city. The campaign's primary focus is on maintaining environmental balance and ensuring widespread public participation in cleanliness efforts.

Prominent Dignitaries Attend Launch Event

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of several distinguished guests, including Sandeep Singh Mamar (Representative of the President), Councillors Hemant Mehra, Upendra Kale, Kailash Raghuwanshi, Anand Soni, Bhole Chaurasia, Prakhar Dubey, and Mukesh Raghuwanshi. Also in attendance were BJP District General Secretary Surendra Mohan Nema and District Minister Rajat Chauhan.

Chief Municipal Officer Shrikant Pater was also present on the occasion. In addition to these dignitaries, officials and employees from the Post Office, along with a large number of local residents, participated in this noble endeavor.
