Preparations Underway for Nationwide Campaign

Preparations are intensifying for the grand launch of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' in Bhind district, set to commence on September 17. Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development and the district's in-charge minister, Prahlad Singh Patel, has issued specific instructions to officials for the smooth operation and detailed arrangements of this nationwide campaign.

The campaign will run from September 17 to October 17, featuring various public welfare and nationwide activities. In a review meeting held via videoconferencing, Minister Patel emphasized that the campaign aims to foster public participation and effectively implement various welfare schemes at the grassroots level. He specifically directed the beautification of public places, particularly in rural areas.

Decoration of Panchayat Buildings and Appointment of Nodal Officers

The in-charge minister instructed the District Panchayat President and Chief Executive Officer, Veersingh Chauhan, to decorate prominent public spaces in rural areas, such as panchayat buildings and community centers, with lamps by September 16. Photographs of these decorated locations are to be uploaded to a designated portal.

Nodal officers will be appointed at each panchayat level for this task, responsible for timely submission of photographs. This will ensure the campaign begins in a joyous and organized manner.

Afforestation and Other Public Welfare Activities

Special emphasis was placed on an afforestation drive during the meeting. Minister Prahlad Singh Patel highlighted the need to select locations in assembly constituencies where large-scale tree planting is feasible, with arrangements for proper fencing to protect the saplings. He also stressed the importance of strictly adhering to the directives issued by the government.

Additionally, various other nationwide activities will be organized during the campaign, with the district administration formulating the outline. The virtual meeting was attended by the Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Rakesh Shukla, and Bhind MLA, Narendra Singh Kushwah. They briefed the in-charge minister on the outline and preparations for the programs scheduled for September 17.

Collector Kirodi Lal Meena presented a detailed action plan for the campaign. Also present in the discussion were District Panchayat President Kamna Singh Bhadauria, Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat, Joint Collector, SDMs, Chief Executive Officers of various Janpad Panchayats, and other local public representatives. This campaign, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, is expected to be a success in the district through public participation.
