Police Step Up Security for Budwa Mangal Fair at Dandaraoa Dham

Bhind | September 21, 2026 | Preparations are underway for the annual Budwa Mangal fair at the renowned Siddhpeeth Dandaraoa Dham in Bhind district. Local police administration has made robust arrangements to ensure the safety of devotees and facilitate smooth movement, anticipating a large turnout.

Officers Directed to Maintain Composure and Vigilance

Bhind Superintendent of Police, Suraj Kumar Verma, has instructed all deployed police officers and personnel to interact with devotees courteously and to be absolutely vigilant in maintaining security. He emphasized the importance of sensitivity towards pilgrims and readiness to handle any emergency.

Traffic Management and Crowd Control Strategies

A special strategy has been devised to ensure unhindered traffic flow during the fair. Designated points have been established on major routes to ease vehicular movement and prevent traffic jams. To facilitate devotees and prevent congestion around the temple complex, routes for heavy and four-wheelers have been diverted. Separate parking facilities have also been arranged for devotees' vehicles.

CCTV Surveillance and Plainclothes Police Deployment

The entire fairground is under strict surveillance for security purposes. CCTV cameras have been installed at critical locations to monitor anti-social elements closely. In addition to visible police presence, plainclothes officers will also be on duty to watch out for pickpockets and suspicious activities. Special attention is being given to the safety of women and children, with the deployment of a dedicated all-women police force.

The administration has appealed to all devotees to cooperate with the police during the fair.
