Science Play Park to Boost Scientific Temper in Narsinghpur

In a significant initiative to promote a scientific outlook, curiosity, and experimental skills among students in the Narsinghpur district, a modern Science Play Park will be established at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Narsinghpur. An amount of ₹30 lakh has been sanctioned for this project, a result of the efforts by School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh. This sanction was granted under the annual action plan 2026-27 of the School Education Department.

The primary aim of this project is to explain complex scientific concepts to school students through simple and interactive models and activities. The proposed Science Play Park will feature interactive models that students can directly observe, touch, and operate. This will encourage innovation in education, allowing children to easily grasp scientific principles through play.

Detailed Action Plan Prepared

To finalize the blueprint of the Science Play Park, a special study team was formed under the guidance of DIET Principal Rajiv Kishore Shrivastava. The team included senior lecturers Dr. Alka Sharma, Shraddha Shukla, Govind Badkur, Sanjay Kumar Sharma, and higher secondary teacher P.S. Patel. Under the direction of senior officials from the State Education Center, R.K. Tripathi and Prem Singh Sisodia, the team visited the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, and DIET Alirajpur.

Following an in-depth study of the various science models and available resources at these institutions, the team has prepared its detailed action plan report. The team's comprehensive study is expected to inform the development of engaging and educational exhibits.

Next Steps for Project Implementation

The DIET Narsinghpur administration has clarified that a detailed action plan for the park's establishment will be submitted to the State Education Center, Bhopal, within the next fifteen days. Following the approval of this report, the subsequent construction processes will commence. DIET Narsinghpur is committed to completing this ambitious project in a time-bound manner, expecting a positive transformation in the district's educational environment.
