Environmental Protection and Cleanliness Campaign at Sandipani Vidyalaya

Naugaon | October 3, 2026 – Sandipani Vidyalaya campus in Naugaon hosted a special campaign aimed at promoting environmental protection and cleanliness. Students and members of the National Consciousness Forum joined hands in a Shramdaan (voluntary labor) effort to make the school greener and cleaner.

Tree Plantation by Esteemed Guests

During the event, former Sub-Divisional Magistrate K.L. Ahirwar planted an Ashoka tree. The program was presided over by former Executive Engineer Suresh Bhatt, who planted a Palm tree, while special guest D.D. Tiwari demonstrated his commitment to the environment by planting an Amla tree. The primary goal of this tree plantation drive was to enhance the greenery of the school premises and spread environmental awareness.

Waste Management and Green Future Plans

As part of the cleanliness drive, the school campus was cleared of plastic waste and harmful weeds like Gajar Ghas (Parthenium hysterophorus). Arrangements were made to segregate wet and dry waste for proper management. D.D. Tiwari explained that dry waste would be collected in blue dustbins, while wet waste would be used to produce compost manure within the school premises, facilitating both waste disposal and fertilizer production.

Formation of 'Eco Club' Announced

Discussing future plans, D.D. Tiwari announced the formation of an 'Eco Club,' or a Cleanliness and Environment Committee, at the school. This committee will comprise the school Principal, Vice-Principal, Nodal Officer, along with two teachers and twenty students. Its purpose will be to regularly conduct cleanliness activities and inspire students towards environmental conservation.

Encouraging Responsible Citizenship

The Vice-Principal emphasized the importance of Shramdaan and encouraged students to become aware and responsible citizens concerning the environment. A large number of students, including Dashrath Ahirwar and Pranjul Tiwari, were present for this noble initiative. The school administration reiterated its commitment to continuing such campaigns in the future to maintain a clean environment and foster a sense of social responsibility among students.
