Government Pledges Swift Relief for Victims

Following a grave incident of adulterated liquor consumption in the Banda area of Sagar district, the state government has initiated steps to provide immediate relief to those affected. Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput visited the Bundelkhand Medical College to meet with patients and their families.

The minister directed doctors to ensure proper treatment for the patients and assured that compensation would be disbursed to the affected families within three days. He also clarified that assistance would be provided as per regulations even to individuals without Sambal cards.

Medical Care and Transfer of Critical Patients

Minister Govind Singh Rajput personally visited the local hospital in the Banda area after the unfortunate incident and inquired about the health status of admitted patients. He specifically arranged for the immediate transfer of three patients – Sunil Vishwakarma, Sultan Singh, and Govind Ahirwar – whose eye conditions were reported as critical, to AIIMS Bhopal for advanced medical care. He facilitated their treatment process by contacting AIIMS doctors via telephone.

The minister stated that the government stands with the victims during this crisis and will provide all possible medical assistance. He emphasized that justice would be served to those responsible, ensuring such incidents do not recur.

Minister's Stance on Administrative Action and Liquor Mafia

Expressing satisfaction with the ongoing administrative actions in the adulterated liquor case, Minister Govind Singh Rajput reiterated the state government's 'zero tolerance' policy against the liquor mafia. He assured that the police and administration are diligently working to apprehend the culprits, and no offender will be spared.

The minister stressed that the law is taking its course, and strict action against criminals will continue to prevent future occurrences.

Sharp Political Attacks on Congress: Responding to Digvijaya Singh and Jitu Patwari

During his visit, Minister Govind Singh Rajput launched a strong retort against remarks made by senior Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh and state president Jitu Patwari. Responding to Digvijaya Singh's statements, he advised the former Chief Minister to conduct himself appropriately for his age and refrain from making baseless statements merely to remain in political limelight, dubbing him a 'tweet master'.

Meanwhile, advising Jitu Patwari, the minister suggested the need for maturity in politics. He stated that instead of politicizing sensitive issues, the opposition should come forward to assist the victims.

Denial of Allegations and Future Actions

Completely refuting the allegations against him, Minister Govind Singh Rajput asserted that in his twenty-five-year political career, he has never supported illegal activities such as gambling, betting, or liquor. He clarified that meeting and taking pictures with various people in public life is natural and does not imply endorsement or patronage of any illegal activity.

He reiterated that regardless of who is found guilty, the government is committed to punishing them. The minister also informed that a high-level review meeting will be convened soon to thoroughly examine the entire sequence of events, the status of treatment, and the actions taken.
