In an exemplary initiative, the Adarsh Nagar Palika Parishad Balrampur has disbursed the full amount of earned leave encashment to retired sanitation worker Mrs. Hazara within a mere 72 hours of her retirement. This payment, amounting to ₹7,48,800, was issued on August 3, 2026, just two days after Mrs. Hazara completed her tenure upon turning 60 years of age on July 31, 2026.
The municipality is touting this swift action as a clear demonstration of its sensitive approach to employee welfare and its commitment to efficient, time-bound administration. The council asserts that this move underscores its dedication to prioritizing the interests of its workforce.
Prioritizing Employee Dignity and Timely Payments
Council President Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’ emphasized that upholding the dignity of every employee and ensuring the timely disbursement of their statutory dues are paramount priorities for the council. He stated, "Saving employees from unnecessary hassle after retirement is a significant part of our work culture."
Providing details on the process, Executive Officer Lalchand Maurya highlighted that all employee dues are being settled in a timely manner, in line with the government's directives. He added that by completing Mrs. Hazara's leave encashment payment within just 72 hours, the council has sent a clear message of its unwavering commitment to employees' rights.

The significant disbursement was attended by council representatives, including President's Representative DP Singh, Tax Inspector Rajesh Kumar, JE (Civil) Avinash Yadav, JE (Water) Dharmendra Gaur, Sanitation Inspector Diwakar Pandey, along with other officials and staff of the municipality.
