Radiant Public School Students Pledge to Shun Single-Use Plastic

Environmental Awareness Drive at Radiant Public School

Chhatarpur | August 6, 2026 – The Chhatarpur Municipality's Integrated Communication and Outreach (IEC) team organized a cleanliness awareness campaign across the city's wards. As part of this initiative, a significant pledge program against single-use plastic was held at Radiant Public School in Ward No. 22.

This initiative was conducted under the guidance of Municipal President Jyoti Surendra Chaurasia and Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Madhuri Sharma, with oversight from Sanitation Nodal Officer Nitesh Chaurasia. During the event, students were thoroughly informed about the severe side effects of single-use plastic and its detrimental impact on the environment.

Pledge for a Plastic-Free Future

Teachers and the municipal team educated the students on the importance of environmental conservation and inspired them to play an active role in this cause. The students took a solemn pledge to:

• Completely boycott single-use plastic.
• Adopt systems for the safe and proper disposal of plastic waste.
• Promote the use of cloth or jute bags in daily life.

Furthermore, they were encouraged to motivate their families and those around them to create a plastic-free environment. The school management and teachers urged the students to ensure their active participation in environmental protection efforts.
