Gita Study Session Held at Vindhyachal Secondary School

Narsinghpur, November 4, 2026 - A special Gita study program was organized at Vindhyachal Secondary School in Narsinghpur, under the joint auspices of Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Jan-Jagran Manch, and Geeta Swadhyay Mandal. The objective of this spiritual session was to make students aware of the important principles of life and the significance of Karma Yoga.

Inauguration and Performances

The program commenced with the lighting of a lamp before Mother Saraswati and Lord Shri Krishna. School students Payal Ahirwar and Sanjana Lavvanshi presented the Saraswati Vandana, while Hansraj Umath and Satish Lavvanshi sang the Madhya Pradesh Anthem. The school's principal, Ramswaroop Lavvanshi, welcomed the guests with tilak.

Vedaacharya Thakur Govind Singh Makwana Addresses Students

The chief speaker, Vedaacharya Thakur Govind Singh Makwana, provided students with detailed information on Sankhya Yoga and the primacy of action. He emphasized that the Bhagavad Gita is not only a source of knowledge but also provides the strength to fight against injustice and oppression. He stated that the principles of the Gita inspire individuals to fulfill their duties.

Emphasis on Guru-Shishya Tradition and Duty

Guest of honor Padamsinh Tomar highlighted the importance of the Guru-Shishya tradition, an integral part of Indian culture. The chairman of the program, senior social worker Madanlal Mandwal, gave students the mantra of remaining dutiful and explained its importance in shaping their future.

Inspiration and a New Resolution

The president of the Prerna Literary Organization, Mohan Singh Parmar, and B.L. Gurjar also shared their thoughts on the necessity of adopting Gita's principles in daily life. The program's efficient anchor, Harisingh Parihar 'Patang', emphasized that virtue and good conduct are essential for achieving goals.

Mandatory Gita Classes Introduced

Inspired by this event, school principal Ramswaroop Lavvanshi made a significant announcement: a Gita recitation class will now be conducted mandatorily every Saturday. This decision will provide students with regular opportunities to connect with the teachings of the Gita.

During the session, teachers Durga Lavvanshi, Kavita Yadav, Saloni Lavvanshi, Ashok Goswami, Deepika Kushwaha, Mahima Sharma, and Tannu Lavvanshi also shared their valuable insights. The Geeta Swadhyay Mandal presented the Bhagavad Gita to the principal. The spiritual event, which ran from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, saw students participating with great enthusiasm and interest.
