Governor Appoints Dr. OP Chaudhary to Maa Shakumbhari University Executive Council

Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor of State Universities, Anandiben Patel, has nominated Dr. OP Chaudhary, retired Professor and Head of the Psychology Department at Shri Agrasen Kanya PG College, Varanasi, as a member of the Executive Council of Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur. This appointment has been made considering his experience and expertise in university administration.

Extensive Academic and Administrative Experience

Dr. OP Chaudhary possesses extensive academic and administrative experience. Previously, he was also nominated as a member of the Executive Council of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya, by the then Governor Ram Naik. During his tenure, he played a significant role in initiating the Applied Psychology course on the university campus.

Furthermore, he contributed to implementing leave provisions for self-financed teachers and streamlining staff adjustments, which helped improve the academic and administrative environment. His contributions have been significant across various universities.

Continued Contributions to Diverse Universities

Following his tenure at Avadh University, Dr. OP Chaudhary was also nominated as a member of the Executive Council of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, by Governor Anandiben Patel. There, he actively contributed to efforts to resolve a critical and long-pending issue: the appointment of dependents of deceased employees in university service.

He met with the Governor on several occasions for constructive discussions on this matter, aiming to provide relief to the families of the dependents. The academic fraternity and various related institutions have expressed delight at Dr. Chaudhary being nominated to the Executive Council once again.
