Strict Recovery Action Initiated

The Farrukhabad administration has launched a stringent recovery process against a woman beneficiary found ineligible for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. An official notice issued by the Deputy Director of Agriculture's office directs Vandana, wife of Rahul Pratap Singh, to deposit a total of ₹46,000 into the state treasury within three days.

This sum was received by Vandana in 23 installments between March 12, 2019, and June 20, 2026, despite her ineligibility for the scheme. The notice, addressed to the beneficiary residing in Mohalla Nawab Niyamat Khan Paschim, Sindhi Colony, under the Thana Kotwali police station, follows departmental investigations revealing she did not meet the scheme's prescribed eligibility criteria.

Recovery Notice Issued

The recovery notice explicitly states that the beneficiary must deposit the amount into the state treasury within three days of receiving the funds. Furthermore, confirmation of the payment needs to be provided to the Deputy Director of Agriculture's office. A copy of this recovery notice has been forwarded to the District Magistrate of Farrukhabad for information, underscoring the administration's seriousness in this matter.

Information regarding this action has also been communicated to the relevant complainants. This initiative by the Agriculture Department has once again brought the verification of PM-Kisan beneficiaries and the recovery process from ineligible recipients into focus, highlighting the necessity for effective implementation of government schemes and ensuring beneficiary eligibility.
