Administration Cracks Down on Traffic Violations
The district administration and municipal corporation of Bhind are implementing stringent measures to streamline traffic and curb unauthorized movement by vehicle operators. Following strict directives from Collector Pawan Kumar Jain, Municipal Corporation CMO Veerendra Chakravarty has overseen the reinstallation of barriers on key city routes. This initiative aims to maintain order and reduce accidents within the city.
Furthermore, decisive action will be taken against individuals damaging public property. Municipal Corporation CMO Veerendra Chakravarty has issued a clear warning: any attempt to damage or breach the barriers will not be tolerated. Under the newly established regulations, individuals found damaging barriers will face a significant penalty of Rs 2 lakh.
Enhanced Security and Surveillance for Barriers
The district administration has reinforced security measures, including high-tech surveillance, for the barriers, which have been repeatedly damaged in the past. Previously, high-speed vehicles at night often caused damage, disrupting traffic flow. Learning from these incidents, the municipal corporation has installed modern CCTV cameras near the barriers.
This decision comes in response to increasing disregard for traffic rules and the misuse of public property. Collector Pawan Kumar Jain emphasized that such disorder will no longer be tolerated. The new barriers are not only strengthened but also equipped with advanced monitoring systems to prevent unauthorized passage.
24/7 Monitoring and Strict Legal Action
Security personnel have been deployed to patrol the barriers around the clock, ensuring they remain undamaged. City Kotwali TI Anita Gurjar and Traffic In-charge Raghavendra Bhargav are personally overseeing strict adherence to the rules. The modern CCTV cameras installed near the barriers will record live incidents, aiding in the identification and apprehension of offenders.
These high-resolution cameras will capture crucial evidence for any act of vandalism or damage. CMO Veerendra Chakravarty stated that the cameras aim to deter offenders and encourage drivers to follow traffic regulations. The constant surveillance is expected to make people more conscious of their actions.
Significant Penalties for Violators
As per the administration's new rules, anyone damaging a barrier will be fined Rs 2 lakh. This substantial fine serves both to cover damages and discourage future violations. Additionally, those who violate traffic rules or forcibly cross barriers will face legal action under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Potential consequences include vehicle impoundment, driving license suspension, or other legal penalties based on the severity of the offense. Police officials have affirmed that no leniency will be shown to traffic rule violators. Special attention will be paid to speeding, drunk driving, and not using helmets or seatbelts, common causes of accidents.
Public Welcomes Strict Measures
Local residents have welcomed the administration's decision, hailing it as a commendable step towards improving traffic and establishing discipline. They believe these strict measures will reduce accidents and create a smoother, safer traffic system. This initiative serves as a reminder to citizens to treat public property with care.
The administration's message is clear: a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against those damaging public property. Further steps to promote traffic rule awareness, such as street plays and social media campaigns, are anticipated. All vehicle drivers in the city are advised to exercise extra caution, as collective efforts are key to achieving a safer traffic environment.
