The Qadiri Gate police in Farrukhabad have solved the sensational murder of Arun Hooda, which occurred on July 26 in the Panchalghat area. The main accused, Sonu alias Karmveer from Palwal, Haryana, was arrested along with a juvenile offender.

Evidence Recovered

Authorities recovered the .32 bore illegal pistol used in the murder, a magazine, seven live cartridges, ₹3,340 in cash, and a number-plate-less Maruti Suzuki Fronx car used in the incident. The arrested accused, Sonu alias Karmveer, son of Narendra Dagar, hails from Dhatir village in the Gadpuri police station area of Palwal district, Haryana. Interrogations following his arrest were crucial in unraveling the case.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that Arun Hooda (32), a resident of Haryana, was shot and killed near the petrol pump close to the Panchalghat police outpost on the night of July 26. At the time of the incident, Arun Hooda was returning to Agra from Varanasi with his wife, Rakhi, and their two-year-old son, Jayant.

The victim had reportedly stopped at a grocery store to buy chocolate and cold drinks for his child. It was during this stop that assailants in a white car targeted him, firing two shots at close range. Arun Hooda collapsed outside the shop, and the attackers fled the scene.
