Youth Inspired to Become 'Jambavans' for 'Developed India' at NSS Camp
Gwalior | October 2, 2026 - The sixth day of the National Service Scheme (NSS) leadership and training camp, held at Ji'waji University, Gwalior, saw youth being inspired to recognize their latent abilities and play an active role in building a 'Developed India' by becoming 'Jambavans'.
On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Diwakar Singh Rajput and expert Dr. Shivesh Pratap Singh encouraged the youth to make significant contributions towards nation-building.
Morning Activities and Vice-Chancellor's Address
The sixth day of the camp commenced with activities such as Prabhat Pheri (dawn procession), yoga, and a cleanliness drive. These were organized with the objective of fostering discipline and a spirit of community service among the youth.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Diwakar Singh Rajput, referencing a passage from the Ramayana, advised the youth to identify their inner strength and channel it towards nation-serving endeavors. He emphasized that continuous discourse and dedication to duty are extremely essential for the creation of a developed India.
Importance of Human Values in the Age of Technology
The keynote speaker, Dr. Shivesh Pratap Singh, termed Indian youth as 'Gen-B', meaning 'Generation for Developed India'. He stressed that the nation's progress depends not only on technological advancement but also on human empathy, family values, and ethical foundations.
He urged the youth to maintain these crucial human aspects alongside technological progress to build a holistic and strong nation. The camp also saw an award ceremony recognizing the outstanding work done by NSS volunteers and officials, aiming to encourage their dedication and hard work.
The program was skillfully compered by Prof. Mudita Mishra, while Dr. Manoj Awasthi expressed gratitude to all attendees. Numerous prominent academic officials from the university were also present, committed to guiding the youth.
