Major Success for Bhind Police

In a significant achievement, the Bhind Police have arrested a fugitive who had been evading capture for 21 years in an NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act case. The accused was apprehended in the Guna district as part of a special operation.

Arrested from a Guna Ashram

The Mehgaon police station team, acting on precise informant information and technical assistance, nabbed the permanent warrant holder from an ashram in Village Nauhar, Aron town, Guna district. This operation was conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma and Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel.

Fugitive's Disguise and Capture

The accused, identified as Satyadev, also known by the names Sarvesh and Bajrangdas Baba, was originally from Village Birkhadi. A case was registered against him under the NDPS Act in 2002. He absconded during court proceedings, leading to a permanent warrant being issued against him on June 7, 2005. Investigations revealed that Satyadev had disguised himself as a sadhu and was residing in an ashram in Village Nauhar to avoid arrest. His movements were closely monitored.

Strategic Arrest During Bhandara

On November 2, with the assistance of Bajrangarh police, the ashram was cordoned off. The ashram was hosting a bhandara (community feast), resulting in a large gathering. Recognizing the situation, the police acted with patience, waited for the opportune moment, and skillfully apprehended the accused as he attempted to use the crowd to his advantage. The efforts of Inspector Ravindra Sharma, Satendra Sharma, Dinesh Mudgal, Tilak Singh Tomar, and cyber cell's Rahul Yadav were commendable in this critical arrest. The accused will be presented before the honorable court today.

This operation exemplifies the police's efficiency, persistent efforts, and their firm resolve against criminals who attempt to evade the law for extended periods.
