Narsinghgarh Hospital Selected for Digitalization Pilot Project

In a significant step towards modernizing and tech-enabling the state's health services, Health Commissioner Shri Dhanraj S has announced the inclusion of Narsinghgarh Hospital in Rajgarh district into the national hospital digitalization pilot project. This decision was made during an inspection of Narsinghgarh Hospital and the new District Hospital Rajgarh on Friday.

During the inspection, the Health Commissioner meticulously reviewed various sections of Narsinghgarh Hospital, including the operation theatre, different wards, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the drug distribution center, the maternity ward, and the pathology laboratory operating under the hub-and-spoke model. He assessed the use of Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID, record-keeping arrangements, and overall health services, issuing necessary directives for the swift resolution of technical issues.

Digitization to Improve Health Services

Upon receiving an update on the progress of Outpatient Department (OPD) digitization from Narsinghgarh Hospital Superintendent Dr. Gaurav Tripathi, Health Commissioner Shri Dhanraj S lauded the hospital's initiative and announced its inclusion in the pilot project. He emphasized that systems in all state hospitals will be digitized in a phased manner, with the primary goal of providing more prompt and better health services to patients.

All Government Hospitals to Go Digital in Three Months

The Health Commissioner made a major announcement, stating that work is progressing rapidly to digitize all government hospitals in the state within the next three months. As part of this process, OPD registration will be linked to ABHA IDs. This will ensure that a patient's complete treatment history, investigation reports, and medication details will be available online at any government hospital in the country, streamlining the treatment process.

To ensure the smooth operation of digital records, doctors and health workers will also be provided with the necessary laptops and tablets, enabling them to effectively utilize the new technology. Furthermore, efforts are underway to strengthen the direct supply system of essential medicines from sub-health centers to primary and community health centers, aiming to ensure timely access to life-saving drugs in rural and remote areas, thereby significantly improving healthcare accessibility and quality.

During the inspection of the District Hospital Rajgarh, the Health Commissioner personally interacted with patients to gather information about their treatment and the facilities available at the hospital. He also inspected various units, including the maternity ward, and assessed the arrangements. Present on the occasion were Collector Dr. Girish Kumar Mishra, Chief Medical and District Health Officer Dr. Shobha Patel, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajnish Sharma, and other senior officials from the health department.
