Grand Diya Festival Celebrates 25 Years of Public Service
A magnificent festival of lights was organized at the historic Sethani Ghat in Narmadapuram to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's completion of 25 years in public service and responsibility. Under the 'Diya of Blessings' program, 51,000 diyas were lit, making the Narmada's banks shimmer with a Diwali-like glow.
This event served as an expression of citizens' commitment to good governance and public welfare. Thousands of citizens were present at this festival held on September 17, witnessing an ethereal scene created by the golden light of the diyas. The assembled crowd pledged to fulfill their social responsibilities and actively participate in service activities.
Spiritual Ambiance and Community Commitment
The grand event and devotional atmosphere were further enhanced by the divine Maha Aarti of Mother Narmada and the collective chanting of the Narmadashtak. Devotees praised Mother Narmada together, filling the ghat's atmosphere with spirituality and devotion. The occasion also featured a spectacular fireworks display, mesmerizing the attendees.
Senior officials and public representatives graced this historic program. Present were Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Government Shri Ashok Barnwal, MLA Dr. Sitasharan Sharma, MP Shri Darshan Singh Chaudhary, and Smt. Maya Narolia, along with several other public representatives and administrative officers. Collector Shri Somesh Mishra and SP Shri Sai Krishna S. Thota also registered their participation alongside the citizens.

This festival of lights is a significant part of the 'Seva Se Sankalp' campaign, running from September 17 to October 17. The campaign's primary objective is to further strengthen public service, good governance, and social participation.
