Community Delegation Meets Union Minister Scindia

In Guna, a delegation representing the Muslim community met with Union Minister and Member of Parliament, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, on Thursday, September 17, 2026. During the meeting, the community members strongly urged for the allocation of suitable land for the construction of a community hall.

Urgent Need for a Dedicated Space

The delegation submitted a memorandum to the MP, emphasizing the need to expedite the process and seeking administrative cooperation to fulfill the community's long-standing demand. The representatives, led by the Guna Vikas Parishad, highlighted the difficulties faced due to the absence of a community hall, which hampers the organization of various social, educational, and community events.

Currently, the community relies on rented spaces, which are not only expensive but also lead to disorganization. A permanent, well-equipped venue would enable these activities to be conducted more efficiently and effectively, fostering community unity, cultural exchange, and developmental initiatives at the local level. The hall is also seen as a crucial platform to engage and positively guide the younger generation.

Community Hall to Foster Unity and Development

Haji Zuber Khan, the State Secretary of the Muslim Community and President of the Guna Vikas Parishad, elaborated on the significance of the community hall. He explained that its construction would allow community members to organize social, educational, and community programs in a single, organized location. This includes events like weddings, festivals, meetings, educational workshops, training programs, and other important social gatherings.

The hall will serve as a platform for community members to converge, exchange ideas, and collaboratively work towards societal progress. The delegation expressed hope that the MP's intervention would accelerate the land allocation process, providing the community with this essential facility to effectively implement their plans.

Key Figures and Assurances

Several senior community officials and social workers were present at the meeting, supporting the initiative. Prominent among those who submitted the memorandum were social worker Arif Khan, Vice President of the Joint Action Committee Azhar Khan, Secretary of the Guna Vikas Parishad Hashim Rain, and former Waqf Board Chairman Rahees Bhai Jainul. They all requested the MP to take personal interest in the land allocation process and ensure its speedy completion.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia listened attentively to the memorandum and acknowledged the legitimacy of the community's demand, assuring full cooperation. He indicated that he would issue instructions to the relevant officials for prompt action on the matter. The community views this initiative as vital for future progress, aiming to further boost community unity and developmental activities locally.
