Major Breakthrough in Crime Control

In a significant development for crime control within the railway sector, the Government Railway Police (GRP) Mirzapur has achieved a major success by apprehending a warranted accused who had been absconding for eight years. This operation was conducted as per the directives of senior officials.

Accused Identified and Arrested

The arrested accused has been identified as Masoom Siddiqui, a resident of Ratanganj in the Kotwali Katra area of Mirzapur. He was booked under Sections 380/411 of the Indian Penal Code in case number 97/2018 at the GRP Mirzapur police station in 2018 for theft.

Non-Bailable Warrant Executed

Acting on a non-bailable warrant issued by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Court No. 2, a police team raided the accused's residence this morning. The warranted accused was apprehended from his home.

Suspect Found at Residence

According to the police, the accused, Masoom Siddiqui, was present at his residence and was promptly taken into custody by the team. During the arrest, the police strictly adhered to the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court and the Human Rights Commission. The accused's family was also informed of the arrest on the spot.

Involvement in Other Cases

Police records indicate that the accused is also implicated in another case registered in 2018, bearing case number 194/2018, which is currently under trial concerning the NDPS Act.

Legal Formalities and Court Presentation

After completing all legal formalities, the police have presented the accused before the court. Sub-Inspector Rakesh Kumar led the operation, with significant contributions from Head Constable Ajay Kumar Yadav and Constable Kuldeep Kumar.
