Under the 'Amrit Harit Mahabhiyan' and 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' (A Tree in Mother's Name) campaigns, spearheaded by the Madhya Pradesh government, the Nagar Parishad Aron organized a comprehensive tree plantation program on August 5, 2026. The event took place at the premises of the late Raja Bal Bhadra Stadium.
The primary objective of this initiative is to expand the city's green cover, maintain ecological balance, and raise public awareness about nature conservation. Chief Municipal Officer Dinesh Kumar Soni stated that following government directives, the Nagar Parishad is undertaking extensive tree planting across various public spaces within the city.
This campaign is seen as a significant step towards environmental improvement and an effort to secure a healthy environment for future generations. Participants, including the public and Nagar Parishad staff, actively engaged in planting fruit-bearing and shade trees, taking a pledge for their care and protection.
The collective participation reinforced the campaign's spirit, emphasizing the active role of citizens. Present at the event were Chief Municipal Officer Dinesh Kumar Soni, along with MLA representative Mintu Lal Jain, Councillor Mulchand Bhaunre, local representatives, Daroga Shivram Bairagi, Pratap Prajapati, ward in-charges, and other Nagar Parishad staff, lending dignity and showcasing their commitment to environmental protection.
