Child Protection and Human Trafficking Prevention Meeting Held

Mahoba Police organized a significant review meeting on Friday for child protection and the prevention of human trafficking. The meeting, held in the auditorium of the Reserve Police Line under the direction of Superintendent of Police Shashank Singh, was attended by officials from the Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU).

Key Issues and Actionable Directives

Additional Superintendent of Police Vandana Singh presided over the meeting, facilitating detailed discussions on various critical issues. The primary agenda focused on preventing social evils such as child labour, child begging, and child marriage. Additionally, emphasis was placed on ensuring the swift recovery of missing children and the effective implementation of the POCSO Act-2012. Progress on various activities conducted under the Mission Shakti campaign was also reviewed.

Ensuring Swift Action and Collaboration

Additional Superintendent of Police Vandana Singh instructed the concerned officials to establish better coordination with various departments and ensure swift and effective action in sensitive cases. She stressed the need for regular monitoring of child protection-related matters, coordinated efforts, and making public awareness campaigns more impactful. Officials from relevant departments, Child Welfare Police Officers and personnel from all police stations in the district, and investigators handling cases of juvenile disappearance were present. All reiterated their commitment to further strengthening the steps being taken in the field of child protection.
