Preparations Underway for 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Campaign in Mahoba
Mahoba District, August 3, 2026 – Preparations are in full swing in Mahoba district for the effective implementation of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign 2026, coinciding with the upcoming Independence Day. A crucial district-level meeting was convened on Monday, presided over by District Magistrate Gajal Bharadwaj, at the Collectorate auditorium.
The meeting was attended by officials from various departments who discussed strategies for the campaign's successful execution. District Magistrate Gajal Bharadwaj directed the officials to celebrate the campaign as a festival, ensuring public participation. She emphasized the importance of reaching every household with a national flag within the stipulated timeframe, so that the national flag can be hoisted on the maximum number of homes on August 15.
Self-Help Groups Tasked with Flag Manufacturing
To ensure the supply of national flags required for the campaign, the responsibility of providing 2.50 lakh tricolor flags to Mahoba district has been assigned to self-help groups operating under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM). A total of 210 women members from 52 self-help groups are engaged in preparing quality national flags, adhering to the flag code.
Special Programs for Public Awareness and Participation
The District Magistrate announced that the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign will be celebrated with great enthusiasm across the entire district from August 8 to August 15. Various public awareness programs, including bike rallies and 'Prabhat Pheris' (morning processions), will be organized during this period. She instructed for smooth and better coordination among Gram Panchayats, development blocks, tehsils, and concerned departments to ensure the campaign reaches its objective.
Chief Development Officer Balram Kumar urged all department heads to ensure strict adherence to the rules and laws related to hoisting the national flag. He also highlighted that the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is creating new employment opportunities for women in self-help groups, thereby strengthening their economic condition.
Concluding the meeting, the District Magistrate stated that the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is not just a campaign, but a mass movement that strengthens the spirit of patriotism, national unity, and civic duty. She called upon everyone to make this movement successful with full enthusiasm and collective participation.
