Mahoba: Accused Wanted in Rape and POCSO Act Case Arrested

Fugitive Arrested in Mahoba District

Mahoba District Police have successfully apprehended a fugitive accused in a case of rape and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. This action was taken as part of a special campaign for the arrest of wanted accused, conducted under the direction of Superintendent of Police Mahoba, Shashank Singh.

Joint Operation Leads to Arrest

Under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Vandana Singh and Circle Officer Kulpahar, Aniruddh Kumar, a police team from Thana Ajnar acted upon information received from an informant. The team apprehended the accused, Deshraj, son of Dhaniram Kushwaha (21 years old), from a roadside shelter in Mohanpur Tigela, located in the Indrahata police station area.

Accused Linked to Serious Charges

This wanted accused originally hails from the village of Amkheda in the Ishanagar police station area of Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh. His arrest is a result of the ongoing campaign to apprehend individuals wanted in cases registered under sections 137(2) and 87/64(1) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as sections 3/4 of the POCSO Act.

Detailed Operation and Team Effort

The arrested accused, Deshraj, was wanted in connection with case crime number 14/2026 registered under the aforementioned sections. Acting on precise information from an informant, the police cordoned off and apprehended him at the passenger shelter in Mohanpur Tigela. Superintendent of Police Mahoba, Shashank Singh, has continuously emphasized maintaining law and order and taking effective action against criminals.
