Large Cache of Illegal Firecrackers Seized in Gonda, One Arrested
Police in Gonda district conducted a raid, seizing a significant quantity of illegal firecrackers and apprehending one individual.

Major Raid Uncovers Illegal Firecracker Stash
The Kauria police station in Gonda district executed a major operation against illegal firecrackers on Friday night. Acting on precise intelligence from an informant, police raided a warehouse at Prithvinath Mod, recovering a substantial amount of illicit explosives and arresting one person.
Discovery and Arrest
While on night patrol, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Aman Kannaujia received information about a large-scale illegal firecracker storage within a warehouse. The police team swiftly responded and conducted a surprise raid on the premises.
During the search, police discovered 555 'sutli' bombs in a sack and various other types of firecrackers in a cartoon. The individual present at the location, identified as Fayyaz, a resident of Beerpur Bhoj, Kharagopur police station, was unable to produce any valid licenses for the storage and sale of these firecrackers.
Legal Action Taken
The authorities found the unsafe storage of firecrackers without a valid license, which posed a significant risk of an untoward incident. Police arrested Fayyaz from the scene. A case has been registered against him at the Kauria police station under Section 9B of the Explosives Act, 1884, and Section 288 of the BNS.
The police are continuing further legal proceedings in the matter. Sub-Inspector Aman Kannaujia was accompanied by Head Constable Nagendra Prasad and Constable Jasim Ahmed in this operation. The administration has directed strict surveillance on individuals possessing firecrackers without permission in the area and to curb such activities to prevent any untoward incidents.
Police are currently interrogating the accused, Fayyaz, to uncover other links in this illegal supply chain.
