Station House Officer (SHO) Ravindra Sharma, accompanied by police personnel, arrived at the scene to meticulously examine the vendors' licenses and the available safety measures. During the inspection, a lack of mandatory safety standards was observed in several firecracker shops.

Key deficiencies included the absence of fire extinguishers and buckets filled with sand or gravel. In light of this serious negligence, the SHO sternly instructed the vendors to immediately procure the necessary safety equipment.

License Revocation Warning Issued

He made it clear that if fire extinguishers and other safety provisions are not present in all shops by the evening, the licenses of the concerned vendors will be immediately revoked. This demand for safety equipment and the threat of license cancellation highlights the administration's strict stance.

The Nagar Palika Parishad had established this temporary firecracker market in the Galla Mandi complex for the festive enthusiasm and the convenience of the public. To manage any untoward incidents, a fire brigade vehicle has also been stationed diligently within the market premises.
