Katni to Host Shrimad Bhagwat Katha from August 7; Corporation Chairman Inspects Venue
Corporation Chairman Manish Pathak inspected the venue for the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, scheduled from August 7 to 14 in Katni.

The venue for the upcoming Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya, set to take place in Katni from August 7 to August 14, 2026, was inspected today by Corporation Chairman Manish Pathak. He reviewed arrangements aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of the event and the convenience of devotees.
The Katha will be discoursed by the esteemed Param Pujya Shri Rajguru Swami Badriprapannacharya Ji Maharaj. During his inspection, Chairman Pathak instructed officials to complete necessary repair work at the venue and on the access roads in a timely manner before the Katha commences.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring daily cleanliness, adequate availability of drinking water, efficient lighting, and all other essential facilities for devotees throughout the duration of the Katha.

Addressing the occasion, Corporation Chairman Manish Pathak stated that the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is more than just a religious ritual; it is a grand festival that conveys the message of Indian culture, moral values, service, devotion, and social harmony. He added that listening to the Katha not only brings peace to the mind but also provides direction to life and spreads good values in society.
“Our endeavor is to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience and that all arrangements are excellent and orderly,” stated Chairman Pathak.
Chairman Pathak also engaged in detailed discussions with local residents during the inspection. He listened to their suggestions regarding necessary arrangements and assured them of all possible cooperation. Several dignitaries were present, including councillors Mrs. Sumitra Rawat and Mrs. Prabha Gupta, Executive Engineer Sudhir Mishra, Assistant Engineer Sunil Singh, President of the Brahmin Samaj Shri Rajkumar (Raju) Sharma, along with prominent citizens from the area.
